Shockabuku Seidaku

Kitty has by now left the Endurance as it's Captian and she and Lucas settled down. They had their daughter Madison and lived happily a few blocks away from Sim and Trin. Shinigami was raised from the dead and once again tries to take Kitty's body. When he fails (thanks to Lis...Lightening Ice Stone) he takes Lucas instead and steals away Hatch and Madi. Kitty spends years trying to find them.

In Return

After all that Madi shuns her so she leaves to find Lucas and get the "demonic bastard" as Kit put it, out of her husband for good. Along the way she joins a form of the secret service and becomes quite the little spy.

"The side effects wore off within days. Patient 372's operation was a success," the blue suited man informed. The director nodded.
"Good work, Doctor," he answered coldly.
"Thank you, sir." A wicked grin smeared across his handsome face.
"Will the patient remember anything?"
"No. The memory has been overridden, she will recall nothing."
"Perfect. Deploy phase two." The smirk melted from the bright young physicians lips.
"But, sir. It is too early."
"Just do it, Doctor."
"Yes, sir." he whimpered slightly.

Kuroneko opened her eyes. The room was dark. She tried to move but her arms were strapped to the bed.
"What the hell?" she mumbled glancing nervously around. She knew it was dark, yet oddly she could see just fine. Almost as if the room were filled with a green light. She noticed a box sitting on the table. Her vision zoomed in. Blue numbers flashed across her eyes…identifying it? It was a circuit breaker. If she could just get to it, she could make the manacles holding her down release.
The door started to open. Neko played dead for the moment. Maybe she wouldn't have to get to it after all. She could hear the faint zap of the locks that bound her. She waited until she could sense the body leaning over her. With inhuman accuracy her arm shot up and grasped the figures neck. She felt a tremendous surge of power jolt through her as sore body stiffened upright. With a single squeeze she could kill them. The frightened woman dropped everything as Neko slowly backed her into the wall.
"What in the naraku have you heboisha's done to me?" she spat lifting the woman higher with each syllable.
"Done? I have done nothing to you."
"Liar." She elevated her even higher.
"Guards!" the woman yelled. Two men burst in. "Help! The androids out of control!"
"Android?" Neko's eyes widened in a mingle of horror and shock. The security approached. Her grip slacked, as she tossed the mad doctor into them.
She ran for her life down the hallway. More guards fallowed. Two appeared in front of her. Neko bulldozed into them. Soon there were too many. One of the men shot her with some strange tag. She felt a shock discharge from it into her arm, then down her spine. Neko tremored, turned to the guards, and smiled.
"Is that the best you can do?" she scoffed. The men gazed dumbfounded at her for more than a second. She took her chance, and lifted her palm to them. It opened to reveal a hole; a green laser shot from it. "Good night." Click. She whipped to her back. A familiar face held the gun to her neck. Her boss.
"Kuroneko? Why have you failed me, hmm? Why have you done this?"
"When I signed up I don't remember giving you permission to screw with me. What have your men done?"
"You shouldn't be asking the questions. I have the upper hand." He gestured to the gun.
"For now. Watch your back."
"Is that a threat?"
"Should it be?" Neko was a cool as a midnight breeze in the middle of a blizzard. The old man looked intimidated. Good.
"I know how to kill you." he slipped trying to regain his nerve.
"Are you menacing me now? You already have the firearm." Neko stepped closer to him. He flinched as she zapped the gun from his hand. "Guess I should have told you to watch your front too." She aimed for his head.
"If you kill me you'll never find out what happened to you. How to manage yourself. How to reverse it…" he panicked. Neko gave him an interested look.
"Reverse?"
"Yes. It can be reversed."
"Liar." She shot him dead between the eyes. She stepped over his body into the room he came out of. Conveniently on his desk lay a thick pamphlet. She picked it up and began to read. It was written in Greek, but from what she could make out it was an instruction manual. For her.
"This should come in handy." She tucked it under her arm. "Now to get out of this hell hole."

Her name changed from Kitty to Kuroneko (black cat) becasue Kitty isn't an andriod, her spirit mearly lives in it's body, which is shown better later on.

Neko finds Lucas, gets Shinigami out, and they travel together for a while. When Shini did leve he wiped Lucas' brain in a final attempt for revenge and rejoins Lex, who was the one who raised him.

Now let me explain…

"I'm back with those parts!" Lucas announced through the door.
"Great," Neko stepped up to him a towel draped around her soaked body.
"Why are you wet?"
"I took a shower."
"Shower?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Old human habit. Let me dry off, and you can crack me open." She smiled, twirled around, and left the room.
"Y'know for an android you have some sense of humor!" he called after her.
"No choice really!" she answered.
"How's that?"
"Well it's all part of my philosophy!" she opened the door. "Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he isn't, and a sense of humor to console him for what he is." She laid down and Lucas opened up her chest. A frost blue glow shined in his face, and he began to work. Neko observed him a moment. "Kinda like watching local surgery."
"Look at this mess," Lucas complained.
"Well after a while you learn to fix yourself."
"Did you even read your own instruction manual?"
"I had to improvise, besides I work don't I?" He didn't answer. "So what exactly are ya doin' to me?"
"Reconfiguring your SCNS network."
"You'd think those dust bunnies would've added 'Tech' with those languages on the translator chip they implanted in my brain."
"I'm giving you a tune-up." Neko picked up the bottle and began to read it.
"Guaranteed to last 30 days or up to 300,00 miles. Well isn't that nifty."
"Like you said improvise."
"And like you said," she replayed Lucas' voice. "Did you even read your own instruction manual?"
"I had to make out what I could, it's in Greek."
"I thought you knew Greek?"
"I do. I can say 'No speak Greek'"
"Well if you had said something I would have tran…" suddenly her voice cut off.
"Much better," he smiled. Neko hit him. "Ow! Y'know I don't have to out the sound back on-line." Neko nodded.
"And why's that? I like the silence." She ran her finger quickly across her throat. "Good point."
"That's…Hey!" her voice was high pitched. "What did you do?"
"Hold on." he reattached a wire or two. "How about now?"
"No, lower, lower, lower, low…wait! That's it. Hold it right there. Had me worried for a minute." Lucas ignored her. She felt like slapping him. "Ow! Hey watch where you poke that thing!"
"You felt that?"
"Of course I did!"
"Huh, interesting." He gave the last finishing touches and closed her up. Neko sat up and flexed a bit.
"Wow, I feel a lot better."
"Naturally. When I fix something it's generally improved."
"Yeah, you always were good with your hands…" she blurted.
"How do you know that?"
"ESP?"
"Whatever. Now that you're fixed we can leave," Lucas replied.
"Leave? How? He pulled out an egg shaped, palm computer, type device.
"Hand held evaporter."
Neko was less than enthused. "Wonderful."
"Don't tell me you're afraid of evaporting," Lucas laughed. She didn't answer. "You are." His face got serious. "Geez, why didn't you tell me? I would have fixed it."
"Fix? You don't fix fear Lucas. You get over it."
"Machines don't know fear, Neko. Therefore it's a glitch in the system and needs to be adjusted." The tension grew.
"I am more than a machine, Lucas. I have a soul."
"You don't have a soul. You are merely a sophisticated robot programmed to seem alive." She stepped threateningly closer to him.
"Is that what you believe?"
"Yes." Their faces were centimeters apart and growing closer. Neko shut her eyes.
"No!" a woman yelled. Neko looked to see Lucas being wrestled down by a wild saiya-jin.
"Simoriah!" Neko yelled. "What are you doing?"
"Saving your ass. What do you think?" She answered. Lucas breathed in and looked into Sim's face.
"Simoriah?" He grabbed her face and kissed her. Sim pushed him off.
"Shinigami!" she yelled.
"Who?" He was confused.
"Sim…" Neko began to explain. "That's Lucas."
"The real Lucas?"
"Yes."
"Oh God!" She wiped her mouth off. "What the hell did you kiss me for!"
"I thought you wanted me to!"
"Wanted! What would give you an assumption like that?"
"The fact that we're married rings a bell."
"Married?! We're not married."
"We're not?"
Neko seized Sim, drug her to her room, and locked the door.
"What are you doing?" Sim bellowed.
"Let me explain. I got Lucas back from Shinigami, but he doesn't remember me, Hatch, or Madison."
"So. Remind him, Kitty."
"Neko. And I don't want him to remember."
"What?"
"We can never have what we had before. I couldn't bare it if he loved me and I couldn't return it. As long as he doesn't remember me, he doesn't love me. Understand?" Neko pleaded. Sim gave her an objective look.
"Let me guess, you don't want me to tell him."
"Yes!"
"Fine. But if he kisses me again I'll kill him."
"Thank you!" Neko excitedly hugged her.
"Kitty get off."
"Ne…ah to hell with it." She let it go.

Neko hypnitizes Lucas to remember everyone but her. Go figure. She drops him off with Hatch and Madi before leaving to travel alone again.

She waited a minute and tried to think of what to say. She was looking right at the woman. How come she couldn't recognize her? It ate away at her mind. The woman kept talking. Where had she seen her before? It wasn't like Kuroneko to do something like this. Her memory wouldn't allow it.
"Um, can you pardon me for a moment?" Neko excused herself. She walked into the bathroom. It was time to slide. She stepped into the first stall and opened the vortex door. "I'm outta here!" She jumped.

"Ok, that should have hurt." she mumbled getting up and dusting off. She took in her surroundings. "Nice." She admired the vista. Lush green meadows and woodland stretched as far as the eye could see below the cliff she landed on. "Very nice."
"Yeah, I always enjoy the view up here," a voice answered. Neko twirled around.
"And you are?" she asked the man.
"I should be asking you that. I'm not the one who falls out of a holes in the sky."
"Kuroneko. Now answer me."
"I'm Sephroth. Are you enjoying it?"
"Enjoying what?"
"My body."
"Your what?"
"You don't know?"
"Know what?"
"That's my body they tinkered with. Just your brain got stuffed into it," he smirked.
"Huh?" Neko looked confused. "So what? Does this make me a guy or a girl?"
"You have no definition, remember."
"But in spirit I'm a girl…I think."
"When you come to try not to take on any appearances. You'll see what I mean." Sephroth stood up. "It shouldn't matter either way though, right?"
"No. I guess not."
"Good, take care." she smiled and spun in a circle till he wasn't there anymore.
BAM!
The black around her faded into vision. Remembering her strange dream Neko ran to the nearest reflective surface.
"This'll have to do." she remarked in front of the tall New York type building. She made sure no one was around and shook off the illusion the surrounded her from her last slide. "Damn," he mumbled checking out the male body in women's clothes. "This is gonna confuse alota people." He looked up at the sign that said "Men's apparel"
"Just my luck. Guess I should go get some clothes." He walked in ignoring the stares he was getting.

Here is where you will see the android taking a mind all on its own. Kitty interviens from time to time within Kuroneko's
mind and even lets herself out every once in a while.

While you were out…

WHAM! Kuro slammed face first onto the green meadow grass. He hoisted himself up and spit out the clump of dirt he had just eaten.
Kuro took in his surroundings. It was only a matter of moments 'til he realized exactly where he was.
In front of a large mansion a small blonde haired boy, almost a younger version of Lucas when thy first met, was playing. He looked up seeing Kuro approach inquisitively. His blue eyes grew like saucers and he dashed back in.
"Jumpy kid," Kuro replied walking up to the cherry wood door. He reached up to knock, but hesitated. What would he say? How would he explain? Should he take on a female appearance? How will they react? How would Lucas react? What about the premonition? What…on earth is he so worried about?
Kuro was about to knock when the door opened. A female version of the blonde boy, only with longer hair, stood there menacingly.
"We don't want any," she scowled.
"I'm not selling anything…"
"Then what gives you the right to scare my baby brother like that?! It took me weeks to get him to go outside! Then you show up and he runs back into our room! I was hoping to have it to myself today! You bas…"
"Page? Who's at the door?" a voice wondered from the kitchen. An old gray haired man emerged. He looked very familiar. He took notice of Kuro as well.
"What do you want?" They weren't very friendly.
"I'm just looking for the people who used to live here."
"Impossible. We've been living in this house since it was built."
"Then that would mean I'm either in the wrong dimension or…"
"Who are you?"
"Kuroneko at your service," he gave his custom salute.
"The android? Page go check on your brother." He smiled. "Tell him this man is a friend."
"Ok." She ran up the stairs.
"Come. Sit. I thought you were a woman?" Kuro made himself at home.
"So did I." At that moment the two kids stepped in. The boy still seemed skittish.
"Those are my grandchildren," he beamed.
"I'm Page, and this is my brother Mage." She elbowed him. "Say hello."
"Hi," he blushed.
"Good. Now go outside."
"Yes Grandpa. Last on there's hangman!" she made a mad dash for the door.
"Uh uh!" he argued fallowing.
"Cute. So where's Lucas?"
"You're looking at him."
"Can't be. I've only been gone a year."
"Try 18."
"18? Time does fly when you're on the rampage. Guess they had me longer than I thought."
"Rampage?"
"Uh…I'll explain later. So whose kids are those?"
"Madison's. She left shortly after you, came back two years later with the twins, then left again."
"What about Hatch?"
"Missing in action." the memory seemed painful.
"Sorry."
"Don't be. It wasn't your fault."
"Let's hope not…" Kuro mumbled.
A scream could be heard from outside. Lucas and Kuro darted to see what it was.
A large metallic man was threatening the twins.
"Union!" Lucas exclaimed. "Leave them alone. Your conflict is with me."
"You don't have the guts old man," his voice was even more metallic than his looks. Lucas unsheathed a sword. "I said leave them in peace."
"Sure, I can do that. In pieces." He yanked out his own sword. It was much larger and wickeder than Lucas'. He smashed the handle into his head making him fall.
"You leave Grandpa alone!" Page shrieked beating the large man's leg. He kicked the girl carelessly out of the way. Mage helped his sister while gawking, taken aback, at the scene. Union lifted his weapon above their heads. CLANK! It was stopped by the unconscious Lucas' oversized knife.
"Why don't you pick on someone who can stand up to you?" Kuro growled, grasping the blade firmly in hand.
"No such thing," he answered trying to slam him back. Kuro dodged, successfully knocking the steel rapier from Union's hand. He then swung Lucas' sword. He stopped it directly before it sliced his neck. Union swallowed until he saw that Kuro wasn't going to kill him. He whimpered and ran away.
"Wow…" Mage whispered in wonder.
"Cool!" Page exclaimed.
Lucas groaned as Kuro checked his wound. It was mortal. A frost blue tear streamed down Kuro's cheek.
"Not good huh," Lucas grimaced with a smile…if that were possible.
"No."
"Do me a favor," the dieing man pleaded.
"What?"
"Take my sword, and take my grandchildren. When he comes back he'll have friends."
"Grandpa! Don't talk like that!" Page cried. "Do something!" She commanded Kuro. He merely stood up, and turned away.
"Page. You knew I wasn't going to live forever."
"Yes, but it was supposed to be in your sleep. Not like this! You didn't even fight!" Lucas closed his weary eyes.
"Please, go with Kuroneko. If he'll have you." He smiled once again. "Finally Kitty I can rest. Take care of them." Kuro shed a few dry tears. He knew Lucas was referring to the sword. He turned to them. Page twirled to cry in her brother's shoulder. Something snapped in the poor boy's crystal blue eyes as he watched his grandfather take his last breath. His face sobered and he wrapped his arms around his hysterical sister.
"C'mon we leave in two seconds." he pulled out the timer. "We can catch up on the next dimension. You comin'?"
"It was Grandpa's dieing wish," Mage answered for both of them. The first full sentence Kuro's heard from the boy. He opened the vortex.
"Hop in."
This time three bodies crashed into each other.
"Just like old times," Kuro groaned. Mage was sandwiched between him and his sister who was on top.
"That was so awesome!" she cheered. She got over her grandfather's sudden death alarmingly quick. Mage looked nauseated. "Can we do that again?"
"Yup, in about…" he counted. "One, two, two and a half days."
"Cool," she shivered.
"We have to do that again?" Mage almost whined.

Sibling Love

Kuro plopped neatly on the ground. He got up and stepped out of the way.
"Another perfect landing," he straightened his jacket as the twins crashed two feet away.
"Yeeha!" Page cheered sitting on Mage's back. He moaned.
"You ok kid?" Kuro asked as Mage's sister leapt off of him.
"Can't we carry a mattress or something with us?" he popped his back into place.
"Nope. If it's one thing I learned it's to travel light. Besides something as large as that would stress my hard drive."
"Can we carry a large pillow then?"
"We'll see." Kuro laughed.
"I don't know why you're complaining," Page looked at her brother demonically. "I think it's cool! It's like a giant roller coaster. You like roller coasters."
"No. You like roller coasters. I lost my corndog on the tea cups."
"What! Are you calling me a liar?!"
"No…I just think I may know a little more about myself that you would, that's all." He couldn't let it slide.
"Oh! So you think I don't know you!"
"No. Now you're putting words in my mouth."
"You think I don't know you? You wet the bed until you were thirteen!"
"Oh yeah. Well you snore."
"Not as loud as you sing 'Natural Woman' in the shower!"
"At least I don't get nightmares from watching 'Winnie the Pooh'."
"You get nightmares from watching 'Barney picnics with the Tellitubies'."
"I'm not the one with the crush on William Shatner."
"Well, I don't have fantasies about Mom!"
"They're not fantasies. And when was the last time you paid your respects to Uncle Hatchet's grave?"
"We don't even know if he's dead!"
"Well we don't know if Mom's dead either."
"Two by Four!"
"Charlatan." Kuro couldn't contain his laughter any longer.
"What's so funny?!" Page raged.
"Don't mind me." Kuro got between chuckles. "I just wish I had some popcorn."
"I'm sorry Page." Mage hugged her. "I shouldn't have said all those mean things."
"Arrgh! Why do you always get to a apologize first?!" Mage sighed and went on. It was almost an hour before Kuro stopped laughing and Page calmed down.

Goodnight!

12:42 pm
Kuro lay in an awkward position in the bed. Page stepped up and not so gently poked his arm.
"Kuro, are you asleep?" she whispered loudly.
"I don't sleep." Kuro muffled in the pillow.
"Then how come you got to have the bed?"
"I paid for the room, that's why. What is it?"
"Mage is afraid of the dark," she quickly answered. Kuro looked to Mage who was dozing softly in one of the chairs. Page nudged him so hard he nearly fell out. He woke up.
"Huh?" he looked around the room, half dead.
"Aren't you?" Page replied.
"Uh yes?" he answered not even knowing what he just agreed to.
"Can we turn on the light?" she wondered.
"Why would we turn on a light?" he asked aloud.
"Because you're afraid of the dark. Remember." She said through her teeth.
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, brother, you are."
"Oh…but I can sleep with the light on."
"Well you can't sleep in the dark either!"
"I can't?" he yawned. Page let out an agitated cry. Kuro laughed then pulled out a glow stick from his chest compartment. He snapped it and tossed it to Page.
"Here, hold this for your brother." He gestured to Mage who was asleep again. "It'll protect him from the evil creatures of the dark." He chuckled and rolled over. He didn't even have to look to see Page's face was scarlet.
12:51 pm
"Kuro?" Page tapped him again. "I can't sleep. Can I get in the bed with you?"
"I guess." Kuro answered. "Just keep in mind the last person who shared a bed with me lost a few body parts." he revealed the nueropulsar cannon in his hand.
"Never mind." She got back in the chair.
1:05 am
"Kuro?"
"What?" he sounded almost annoyed.
"Will you sing for me?"
"No."
"Please."
"Fine. Mary had a little lamb, and ate him for a meal. She sighed after a greasy bit 'I should have had the veil'." He sang to Mary had a little lamb.
"Uh, thank you."
1:15 am
"Uhm, Kuro?"
"What now?"
"I still can't sleep. Can you tell me a bed time story?"
"Once upon a time, there lived a little girl who couldn't sleep. The guy she kept bugging eventually killed her, and they all lived happily ever after. The End."
"Amen!" Mage replied.
3:43 am
"Kuro?"
"And we were doing so well. What happened?"
"I can't help it I'm a night person."
"And a morning person," Mage added. "And a Day person. And a afternoon person."
"Very funny." Page quipped. And it was.

Plastered

All was quiet. Mage sat peacefully reading a magazine he had lifted from the last world they were on. Page screamed breaking the wonderful silence.
"Where is it!" Page dashing hazardously through the hotel room. "Where is it!" she screeched again.
"Did you check up your ass, your drunken bitch?" he wondered in his own passive way.
"What did you say?"
"Did you try turning on the light switch?" he changed.
"What would a breath-mint be doing on a light switch?"
"I don't know, you're the plastered one. Why don't you just get another one?"
"I don' wanna 'nother one!" She whined in his face.
"Dear God." he waved his hand in front of him. "Forget the breath-mint. Chug a bottle of Scope."
"Oh!" she began her jagged search again.
"Kuro's gonna kill you when he gets back from the store," Mage bluntly stated.
"Well he's gonna keel you too!"
"I'm not the one who just downed a quart of Jack Daniels and Pepsi."
"But you let me din't ya? Huh? An 'sides you had that uh…Zita…Zefa…"
"Zima," he corrected. "What ever happened to 'You've got to do something totally idiotic or your not a pure bred teenager.' crap?"
"Yer not s'posed ta git caught!"
"Who's 'not s'posed ta git caught!'?" Kuro replayed her voice.
"Uh…uh…uh…" Page stammered and fell backwards a little. Mage seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself. Kuro picked up the empty Jack Daniels bottle.
"I see," he mumbled.
"It 'idn't what ya think…" Page freaked then let out a loud burp. "Man! Now that was loud!"
"And so's your breath," Kuro retorted.
"Are ya mad at me?"
"Depends."
"Are ya gonna punish me?"
"When you're sober." Kuro's face didn't change. Page began to cry…then passed out.
"Mage, drag your sister to the bed." Kuro sighed.
"Why me?"
"Because I've been through much more today than you have, kid."
"Yes, sir." As Mage fallowed his command Kuro sighed at being called 'sir' again.
When the boy returned thirty minutes later he looked exhausted.
"That lady needs to go on a diet."
"Mage, I wanna ask you something."
"Yes, sir?" he almost nervously took a seat.
"What the hell happened while I was gone at work being a bag boy so I can provide for you until we slide?" he rubbed in.
"Well, sir, it all started when…"
fade
"Are you insane?" Mage asked calmly.
"Only according to 28 doctors, five nurses, and Mr. Hans my invisible friend/lover." Mage joked…he hoped.
"How can you even think about obtaining alcohol?"
"I'm gonna do more than obtain it. We're going to have some fun…"
fade back
"We?" Kuro interrupted.
"Yes. She made me drink something too, sir."
"Well at least you're honest."
"And sober."

Abeyance

As Page began her story, Mage sat quietly in the background. As usual. They looked identical…well except for obvious areas, but other than that they…had absolutely nothing in common. It was often "amusing", as Kuro put it, to see them actually have a conversation. It was even more rare.
"So then he says 'Yes out of all the years we've been married I've always wanted a…" Mage read her lips. He paled a little. How did they get into this one? As soon as Kuro left they snuck out of the hotel and into a club that didn't allow teenagers, not to mention Mage was watching his sister make really bad passes at a 28 year old and his buddies who were too drunk to realize she was only 16. Or maybe they did realize it and they just didn't care.
"When Kuro finds out he's going to kill us both, literally." Mage had stated as soon as they tricked the bouncer into letting them in.
The guys ordered another round of drinks. Everyone knew exactly what they were going for, but the joke was on them. Page had a higher alcohol tolerance then all of those guys put together. They'd pass out before she was tipsy enough to try anything…then again, they may not have to wait that long. He watched his sister get even closer to one of them and kiss him. Even Mage would wonder if Page was really the virgin she claimed to be. He turned around to down the last of his apple juice, in a shot glass so he'll look cool, and instinctively placed it is his pocket.
"Yo Page!" he yelled pointing at his wrist. By now she was to the part when she said 'give me a kiss' and some drink leaked from her mouth. She didn't hear him. The music was probably too loud. He walked up to the table and tapped the blonde on the shoulder. "Page!" She looked up…but it wasn't Page. "Oh shit." His eyes traveled to the door. She was not so gently leaving with two of the guys. Through all the smoke from the cigarettes, weed, and the fog machine he must not have seen her get up. Then again it could have been just from the weed…
"Page!" He dashed outside . His eyes blurred, but it was nice to breath again. When he could see, they were nowhere. "Shit." His head whipped to hear the sound of a very agitated blonde screaming. He ran again. "Page!" This time she heard him.
"Mage!" she yelled as one of the two men threw his hand over her mouth, cussing, trying to make her shut up.
"Leave her alone you bustards." Mage almost sounded pissed.
"Get the %#*@ lost!" one man drunkenly yelled.
"There's nothin' goin' down here. Just go on your way." the other said that like it were supposed to a matter.
"So I suppose she was so freaking excited she ripped her own clothes and hit herself?"
"Mage don't," Page shivered. Her eyes wandered the man's hand that was concealed behind her. Mage smiled.
"You're gonna rape her aren't you? Go ahead. The slut deserves it."
"What?" Page choked out. The men grinned.
"Just let me do one thing first…" Mage walked up to her. The men stared at him with distrust. SLAP! "That was for screwing uncle Joe." SMACK! "That was for screwing dad." WHAP! "That was for screwing grandpa. And this…" he whirled around and punched the man with the gun square in the face. "Is for trying to screw my stupid bitch of a sister." Mage grabbed the gun before they realized what was going on. With out even wavering he cocked and aimed at the two. They dashed away with wet pants.
"We have an uncle Joe?" Page wondered to herself a moment.
"Probably. I should have blown off their…" WHAP! "Ow." Mage muttered.
"That was for hitting me and making me look like a slut!"
"Slut? I may be too late for that."
"What!?" BAP! Mage's nose began to bleed. "I can't help it if I'm a very developed teenager! Besides," she smirked. "That one guy was cute."
"Jesus Christ." His eyes rolled to heaven.
"Hey, don't #^%@*$! swear!"
"I'm not. I'm praying for your sanity." That earned him another belt in the jaw.
When they got home Kuro never found out about the "incident", but by the time they got there Mage looked worse than Page did.

Runnin' In Reverse

Kuro sat down and reflected on what all had happened. The vortex door opened, they all jumped in, they all came out, but they were already here. They slid back into the hotel they slid out of. The twins had been acting strange ever since. Page acted relatively better. She was quite, polite, and, as of this moment, asleep. Mage, on the other hand, just got finished throwing the hotel room furniture out the window in a fit of rage. Kuro still wasn't sure what set him off this time. It was almost as if they had switched personalities? And that possibility did cross Kuro's artificial mind. However the clerk that had been flirting with him the first time they arrived treated him like scum when he went down to extend their stay for another three days. Perhaps it was just the dimension? The air could be tainted or just plain different here. Kuro didn't breath so it wouldn't effect him. Or maybe the sun gave off an imbalance of rays? Oh well, no sense obsessing over it. They were sliding out of there in another two hours.
The past few days had been interesting though.
"Yo, Mage, think I should raise your sister?" Kuro asked. "We're leavin' in a couple a hours."
"Let her sleep! As long as she's out-cold I don't have to look at her!" Mage snapped red faced. Yep, it's been really interesting.
"Never mind, sir, I'm already awake." Page answered, her voice soft and, for once, easy to listen to. Kuro checked the timer out of habit. It had been skipping a lot lately. One minute it could read an hour, the next it could read one second. Still two hours.
"I'm gonna go on screen-saver, Page, keep an eye on the timer, will ya?" He tossed it to her.
"Wait a minute! Since when does she get to hold the timer?!" Mage yelled.
"Since you might hurl it through a window." Kuro pointed to the broken glass. Mage muttered some words. A couple Kuro wouldn't care to repeat, but most he didn't even think Mage would know, even the last one Kuro had never heard before. Page looked at the brink of a cry at her brothers sudden taste in fowl language. Kuro didn't doubt she taught him most of them.
"All right, that's it!" Kuro broke. "Mage for the duration of this trip you are to sit down, shut-up, and mind your @#*$%~! manners. That means no swearing, and no throwing various objects-including your sister-out, off, or into anything. Page you are not to cry, croon, or treat your brother with any respect. Now I do not want to be disturbed from my screen-saver for any reason, unless it's time to slide, you are beating the holy @#*% out of your brother, or you said something to yourself to provoke your sister to do it. If I am bothered you will both be killed in the most gruesome way I deem possible. Is that clear? And if you say crystal I'll kick your asses now!" No answer. "I'll take that wonderful silence to mean 'yes sir'. Keep it up." Kuro smiled and slapped them on the backs as he walked to the place where the bed used to be.

Break down

Kuro high hurtled the car and kept running. He only hoped the twins would still be at the hotel when he got there. The timer had skipped again. It read sixty hours…then sixty seconds. BIG JUMP! Then again so was the leap Kuro made over the bridge that was out. He gained momentum. The scene surrounding him blurred. Kuro had never actually tried to break the speed of sound before, but this was an emergency.
He was growing rapidly closer to the hotel when something came to him…how do I stop? That was answered as he crashed into the building. Dozens of people came to see the spectacle. A man's silhouette was now permanently etched into the building wall. The man himself was getting up without even one sign of a scratch. Two of the 143, as he know counted twice, gawkers were the twins.
"Kuro!" Page exclaimed rushing up to him along with a couple of paramedics. "Too much go…not enough stop…" his voice garbled as he pushed Page into the opening wormhole. He then grabbed Mage and tossed him inside before jumping in himself.
on the other side
"What did you do that for!" Page yelled as soon as Kuro landed. Mage was still recovering from the shock. Kuro grasped his head and jostled it. Outside metal could be heard clinking together. "Kuro?"
"I'll be ok, kid, just a few loose parts.
"What happened?" Mage asked getting up and holding his stomach.
"He just pushed me into the…"
"Not that. The hotel?"
"The timer had skipped. I was just trying to get to you two on time. Guess my brakes were out. I'll be ok, kid, just a few loose parts." His voiced jumped as he said this.
"You just told us that."
"What?"
"I'll be ok, kid, just a few loose parts."
"Hey! Where do you get off calling me a kid? For your information I just happen to be…uh…"
"Over 100. We know!" Page crossed her arms.
"How did you know that?"
"You've told us before."
"Told you? I don't even know you."
"Shit." Mage muttered.
"You don't remember!?"
"Don't remember what?"
"Us!"
"Page, of course I remember you."
"But you just said..!"
"Page," Mage put his hand on her shoulder. "Let it go."
Two hours later
"MAGE!" Page whined. "Are you done yet?"
"No. Why don't you come and help me? You know Greek better than I do."
"Because the last time I helped you, you treated me like a slave girl."
"I asked you to get some water."
"Exactly."
"Kuro's toe was on fire."
"And why couldn't you get it?"
"I was busy putting myself out."
"All the more reason you should go get your own water."
"You started it. You know what? Never mind. I think we'd all be safer if you stayed away from the equipment."
"What?! Why?! What's wrong with me helping? Why can't I help?" Mage sighed and let it go. "Well?" He continued to work. "Answer me! You never answer me!"
"Oh will you just shut her up?" Kuro bellowed restlessly from the table. Page jumped.
"He's back on?! When did you turn him back on?! Answer me!" Silence. Page screamed and stormed out.
"Sometimes that's the only way to get rid of her," Kuro chuckled.
"I give her five minutes before she returns."
"Why did you turn me back on anyway?"
"I didn't" Mage shrugged.
"Huh."
"I don't even know where your on/off switch is."
"Wouldn't be the first time," Kuro snorted. "Ya know what was wrong with me?"
"I think you're memory board got disconnected."
"Did ya fix it?"
"Fix? Are you kidding? I don't even know what that thing looks like. I've just been standing here nodding me head, grunting, and readjusting myself."
"What!"
"Relax, I replaced a couple of wires. It should be good as new."
"Good. Now what was your name again?" Mage's face whitened. "I can make jokes too ya know."
"Can't you make any good ones?"
